I have shot MF for 50 years. From Film to Digital. I love the Image quality on the Z and also on the X1D2
I am semi retired and shoot mainly portraits and family groups. Mostly for personal use.
I have the XCD 45P for the Hassy
I have the 645 FA 35.3.5. D-FA 55 and the A 120 macro.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I’m new on this site and I know this is a few years old. But I’m very curious as I’m considering the Pentax also. What did you decide and have you any advice in these two systems?

Not familiar with the Pentax. On the Hasselblad side, I shoot the 4/28P and 1.9/80mm with my 907X. The 80mm is my favourite lens for portraiture and creates impressive pictures.
On my 503CX, I am mostly using the standard 2.8/80, 60mm or 40mm.

I used the Pentax 645D (the predecessor of the 645Z) as my sole camera for seven years. Since 2019, I’ve been shooting with the Hasselblad X1D, and for the past six months with the X2D. As far as I know, the 645Z and the X1DII use the same sensor, so the image quality is comparable. Still, I would choose the Hasselblad over the Pentax any day. Why? It’s smaller, lighter, has a better menu system—and most importantly, it’s a living system that continues to evolve. The Pentax 645 system is dead (which is a shame...)!

Excellent point!
