Is forwarding the film supposed to be slightly "noisy"? Thanks for the answers in advance.

No, your film back may be due for a cleaning by a Hasselblad repairman.

whats noisy to you may be quiet to others....forwarding the film IS noisy yes...as long as you notice it the crank turns properly then you're fine
