Hi all....I'm new to posting any where. Mid fifties. I used to have an old Bronica system. I have just acquired a 500EL/M and got the lens cleaned etc. Had no idea it would cost 300 bucks to do so! Have not set up the negs yet but eager to get back into the darkroom. Love the old logical procedures. Digital has its place but for me there is no comparison. I also have an F3 with various lenses. I like the difference of mind set the different formats require.
The first thing I'd like to do if I can get enough money is to get a new focusing screen....a matte D I suppose. I got a Beattie screen for the F3 with a big circle and nothing in the middle! So stupid I think to have anything in the way of the center. Looks like there is a 42204 matte D on Ebay in excellent condition for 180.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is the right screen for this body and is the most clear of any marks. I know this has a cross hair on it which is okay but I would like just screen if possible. This one does look nice though.
Thanks for your help.
