NC2 Rubber Eyecup

I am trying to put together a complete 500C/M kit. Does anybody know of a source for a rubber eyecup to fit an NC2 prism finder?

I use the rubber eyecup from the Kiev 88 Nonmetered Prism, and they perfectly fit the NC2 and Meter Prism. Work better for me than the original. I find them in used camera shops.

Thank you

Thank you for the reply.

Can you recommend a source in the UK? I live in a small village miles from a good photographic supplier so I tend to rely on online buying, ebay etc.

Here's Mine. Pix worth a thousand words.

I picked mine up (over time) from Midwest Photo Exchange. You can also of course try Ebay, local used shops, etc. Usually the eyecups have seperated from the Kiev 88 Nonmetered prism, they are scarce and hard to find.

You might also contact http://araxfoto.com/cameras/how/ and show him the pictures, he has access to the Kiev factory, and may be able to scrounge some up for you. He is a great guy to deal with.

Here is what I am talking about, I have only seen these ROUND eyecups on the old, orginal Kiev 88 Straight (Non-metered) prism.

Best of Luck to you,
-Dan

Thank you for identifying suppliers. Unfortunately I am reminded of many years ago when I wass a young boy. I saw lots of amazing things on the back of US comics eg x-ray glasses (I was young then) but the postage was prohibitive. Postage for a rubber eyecup is $43 plus tax plus VAT. Cheaper to buy another prism finder on ebay with an eyecup.

Ah well. I will manage without an eyecup.

I wouldn't give up.

That's a Hasselblad stock item, there should be a dealer in your area who could order one for you. Or perhaps a seller on Ebay in the UK has one.

Our moderator sells Hasselblad items from Germany.
