Move from a 501c to a 503cx

Hi everyone,

Nice to be back in town to write a post and ask a question. I saw a rather good deal for a 503cx. I was wondering if an upgrade might be worth it. I have a 501c which does wonderful work but I was thinking about the future flexibility if I could ever afford a digital back etc.
Any suggestions.

Hi Tom, The only difference between your 501c and the 503cx is the addition of flash metering built into the body. So it could be of value if you use a lot of flash. There is no difference between the two as far as digital is concerned. Either will operate the same way. It's always good to have a second body though!

Correct..Only the 503CXI and 503CW...I only made the point to emphasize that if he has considered using a winder on a 500 series, the CX isn' t the way to go. There has been some confusion about that in the past about the 503s.
