A couple of us from another forum are meeting up at the lighthouse on next Monday morning, at 4.30am, then going on for a day of photography round the district. Anyone from this forum is most welcome to join us if you could make it.

Light house meeting

Sorry Analog6 for not turning up.

I have a very good friend in Melbourne , but I find the 22 hours flighttime from my home so exhausting for me , that I have skipped my plans to visit him and Australia .
But the desire is still there .

The other guys wimped it and pulled out. I did not get notice until a text to my mobile at 3am when I got up. As it was a cloudless morning I changed my direction and went north to Springbrook National Park to natural Arch (had not been there before) and did the 1 km walk (Lordy my cameras are heavy) and Purlingbrook Falls, where I wimped the 4km circuit (it is steep with lots of steps and my knee was hurting by then) and just shot some stuff round the top. I've been editing some for the stock photo site I am on, and will post some soon.

The falls at Natural Arch did not really have enough water coming down to give a good effect, I'll have to go back in wetter times.

Maybe we can organise a mini meet up another time. I now work only 4 days, Tues-Fri, so Sunday/Monday are going to be my 'photo days'.

Cape Byron would be wonderful. Sorry they wimped out. They mustn't have been Aussies! :)

Jurgen, where are you? You're late again! The meal is getting cold! :)

Yes , I am so sorry . I would very much love to be there .
But as a replacement , there will be a wonderful film about the OUTBACK on TV tonight .
And . . . . . I will definately not miss that film .

Best regards Jürgen
