List of Repairman and Machinist for all to Share

Wilko,

I am familiar with Japp De Zee, formerly with Hans Roskam. I have bought lenses from Hans, so oversea sales is no problem. Its all about making the initial contact. With Hans it was easy, it was through his website. As for Japp de Zee, I have several of his modified lenses using CZJ or Schneider Exakta 66 lenses custom mounted for my Hasselblad 2000/200. I have corresponded with him over the years by email, no problem here.

In this case, I am trying to contact David Knapman for some repair work to several of my Zeiss lenses and (2) of 1000F bodies. The repair would require repair & parts that I understand David has bought all from Hasselblad. Short of calling him form the US and with a Hit-or-Miss on the phone, I was hoping to get his email to correspond regarding these repairs I need. Since it appears that I have to contact him on my own, I will follow that up with a letter. He has an email as he has posted on to Photo.net over the years.

There is also another fantastic repairman/machinist in Austria. I believe that his name is Peter Gorlich(?). I have not used him for my Exakta 66 work, but his work is very good. I just can't understand why not having a list of good repairmen has to be a mystery and it would serve everyone it information is shared and not spoken of having a good repairman here and there.
