Kodak's "best" saved until its last?!

Like a certain wedding feast in biblical times, it seems that Kodak's finest may have been left to the very last!

I saw reference to Kodak launching a new professional standard film named: Kodak Ektar 100.

What a coincidence - in the 1600/1000F threads the name Ektar appears everywhere. Well now Kodak is using the name for what it says is its finest professional grade film!

ABOVE ALL, IT IS GREAT TO SEE FILM COMPANIES CONTINUE TO ROLL OUT NEW EMULSIONS!

I took the liberty to copy this post and place that copy in the V section.
This is good news: A revival of the Ektar name and a new emulsion as well.
Because of that I consider this "on topic" and important news.

Thanks for the link and mentioning Kodak is still active making better films.

Well, the kodak Ektar is not sharper than a 400 asa film and is not avaible in 120, 220 or 70mm. This for it is not interesting to mention it in MF forum.

The new TMY 400 I tried in 120 and 135mm is a real improvment of these years for Kodak film.

Fuji produce the Velvia 50 again.

No 160asa (or more) slide film for artificail light available any more.
