Hi everyone, are there any third party lenses that have the Hasselblad xcd mount? Thanks

As the previous poster already mentioned, there are several adapters available for all kinds of brands. Third-party lenses with a native XCD mount are very rare. I personally own a TTArtisan 90 mm f/1.25 with the XCD mount*, and you can also find some Zhongyi lenses on eBay. I’m not aware of any others. It’s worth noting that virtually all non-Hasselblad lenses can only be used with the electronic shutter, since they lack a built-in leaf shutter.

But be aware that, when using third party lenses, you’ll be using the electronic shutter (since the Hasselblads use the leaf shutter in the lens). For what I am reading and seeing, the rolling shutter effect is very bad, so that you’ll basically be stuck with almost static subjects. Moreover, with the ES you can’t use flashes. In other words, using third party lenses will severely limit the use of your camera. If you can live with MF, and simply need more affordable lenses, I would recommend buying a XH adapter and use Hasselblad HC/HCD lenses: in that cases you’ll be able to use the leaf shutter of those lenses, which can be found used on Ebay or similar under 1000USD/€.

However, third-party lenses offer features that you simply won’t find in Hasselblad’s native lineup. That’s why I love my TTArtisan 90 mm f/1.25 despite all its flaws – the subject isolation is just incomparable.

Absolutely. For this kind of subject no rolling shutter issues at all. But give a look at the Hasselblad HC 80mm 2,8 with the XH adaptor... You'll love it.

For anyone considering any of the Contax 645 lenses, there is a Fotodiox adapter but there is a snag with it. The Contax 645 lenses like many AF lenses of the period had an electrically coupled diaphragm, with no manual control. The Fotodiox is a dumb adapter with no electrical coupling. To get round this it has a supplementary diaphragm but this is well behind the optical centre of the lens, so that any aperture smaller than f8, it causes vignetting, thereby negating a lot of the reason to use these large and heavy but optically excellent lenses. I have the 210mm/f4 Sonnar.
