Excellent..The thread now loads in femto-seconds.

Femto-seconds ? ? ?

What the hell does that mean ? ? ?
It is only 11:00 pm here , I am not drunk , but I still don't understand a word .
Confused Jürgen

One never stops learning .:z04_smileys26:

0.000000000000001 of a second..from the Danish word, femten, 15.

Wow! 15!

Now, with regards to the expected image quality of the CFV39, I am wondering if it comes with the no-charge accessory..... if my memory serves me well, it was a "tilt sensor"?? :)

Back to square images - being the original purpose of the thread....

I am not sure if I have ever posted this before, so forgive me if I have. Taken at Newcastle's Nobby Beach just after dawn. Fujichrome Provia 400. Distagon 50mm FLE. God it was so cold that morning!

The light was strange - came up so quickly that morning, with just a touch of gold colour for a minute as can be seen on the rocks. Then it and the pink tone disappeared very very quickly to a rather bleak day. My apologies for any digi-artifacts.

Nice colours, Simon.

I add a picture too. It was presented in another thread but with no response.

Ooooooh , Simon , yes , your memory serves you well .

No , please not again . I would suffer a heart attack .
TILT SENSOR :z04_head_wall: That is an emotive word for me , and you guys out there , seem to like that . Grrrrr .:z04_head_wall:

I have no information about the delivery date for the CFV-39 back yet .
With or without TILT SENSOR .

My first tests will be with the MACRO PLANAR CFE 120 and with the 905SWC , just to check the sharpness at the outer edges of the image .

Jürgen

P.S. I like your avatar image . A good decision . Great .

I do like your image . Nature can provocate quite a lot .
But that image needs to be crisp sharp .
Something in your workflow must have gone wrong .

Tell us more about your workflow .

Tilt sensor

For those unfamiliar with the tilt sensor history:

A certain Hasselblad club member received his CFV digital back only to find out that within a couple of weeks after delivery the back showed severe problems.

It was send back to Sweden and returned with a note stating "tilt sensor adjusted".
A tilt sensor is a device formerly associated with pin ball machines.
Nice to know you can not cheat with a Hasselblad CFV back because it will lock untill the tilt sensor is adjusted..........

Tilt sensor was not the end of this misery.
But that is another long story.

I will keep my fingers crossed the special edition tilt sensor CFV39 does not land in Germany this time.

Drag this thread back...!

Far be it from me to interrupt this fascinating discussion, but the original title of this thread was "Hasselblad V Images..." so here are a couple of mine.

The first is using Fuji Pro 160, the rest with Kodak Portra NC 160.

Thank you Ian for showing these images .
I do like the bottom right one . Very dynamic .

Jürgen

Thanks Jürgen - I knew you'd like that one - taken with the SWC/M....!

(Is 'dynamic' the word for 'gate' in German? )

Yes, picture is not very sharp. Photo was taken with 501CM, 2.8/80, Portra 160NC, handheld. The film was scanned in the lab. Final shape of the picture to be possible to post here I made by using Infarview; at this point I observed marked loss of sharpness.
Pictures 20 x 20 cm made from the film are pretty sharp.

Nice shot shows your hard work with scanning shows quite an imprrovement.

German word for "gate" could be "Tor"
Tor also means goal in football.
This is getting me nowhere, too complicated.
Besides that none of these languages is my native tongue

What a nice image .
There is a little magenta cast in the right side of the image , but thats not what I would like to complain about .
CAMARGUE , where are the wild horses . ? ? ?

Try this

Erm...I live in the Gascony - we don't have horses, but we do have ducks...:)

Is this better?
