Hasselblad is confused

It seems Hasselblad does not know what lens designs are used for the V series.
On their website all lenses from 40 till 150 mm are called Distagon for some strange reason.

The 80 mm and the 100 mm are Planar designs. The 150 is definitely a Sonnar.
I wonder whether they informed Carl Zeiss about these new developments.......

The German site avoided this problem.
It does not mention any of the lens designs.

A little more respect for designs that lasted over 50 years is not too much asked is it?

On the german HASSELBLAD site , you will find at least a hidden hint for three of the lenses , saying what type they are .

It seems to me , that HASSELBLAD sees the V-System as a stepchild and would like to get rid if it as soon as possible .

I am afraid this is an early warning of more bad news to come.

Be glad you have a nice collection of V system cameras both collectable ones and modern ones that can be used frequently.

For anybody interested: the supply of good used equipment and spares will last at least another decade.
That is more than enough to cover my needs.

Looking at http://www.zeiss.de/photo you will see ,
that the
DISTAGON T* 2,8/50 FE , the PLANAR T+ 2/110FE and the TPP are still available .
At least that is true per todays finding at the CZ home page .

I believe , these lenses are no more in production , but still some in stock .

Agreed....which is why I've been filling out my collection of CFE/CFi lenses over the past year. Just went out today with the 501CM and 553ELX for a few hours to poke around and shoot some film. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!

How much could a new TPP be ?

The last listed price was ca. € 21,000...

But, I am pretty sure it is discontinued. There is no way to have a new old stock left as it was made on special order only and had to be paid in advance...

There are still a few new TPP lenses for sale.
In total 43 were produced in one batch.

For US buyers the only problem is the price is now 38.000 USD.

Thank you for catching that the error. I've just checked the Global site and the lens description (Distagon, Planar and Sonnar) is now correct.
