Hi guys,
I have a problem with my ELM. I was shooting yesterday with a digital back, using a cable release. I started having capture problems, so I removed the back and inspected the body and lens. The body seemed cocked, and when I press the shutter release either on the body or the cable release, the 'prong' that sticks out of the body when firing would go out as it should, but nothing else would happen. I tried removing the lens and I could not. On closer inspection, the shutter was close ever so slightly. I thought maybe the batteries had died. So I charged it over night. Still nothing. So I manually cocked the lens using the screw in the body and the lens came off. The body still will not fire. The motor is not dead, because sometimes when I push the mode button mirror up (S) the mirror flips and the body winds itself back up. However, other times it flips up, and there is no way for me to fire and subsequently cock the body, other than manually using the screw in the body.
Any suggestions?
Thanks all,
Marc
