Hasselblad 60mm CB question.

I'm thinking of buying a 60mm CB from a local guy. The lens is in great condition both cosmetic and functional, however, the lens is missing the plastic piece covering the flash sync connection. I wonder if it would compromise the function of the lens in anyway. I rarely shoot flash with my 503cw but it bothers me looking at the lens missing part like that. Tell me what you think. Many thanks in advance.
 
The plastic cover of CB/CFE/CFi lenses is an often damaged part.
It can be replaced but keep in mind the part is expensive, around 50 euro or 75 USD + fitting.

A lens without this cover will function without problems.
