Hi Marc,
since this is a totally different software, this does not work anymore like the old forum software. I wrote a quick overview about the differences between old and new software. See here:

But we are - as always - trying to continue on our "mission impossible". We are currently on the way to test a hack that would enable a mailinglist functionality as in the old software.
But it is not yet bug free and the main problem the server load is not yet resolved. I do not believe personally that there will be a solution long-term for the server-load issues. These are just too many emails going in and out, if only 50% of our users on all forums would use this feature. We are talking about ca. 50-100.000 emails per day.
So I currently am thinking about testing such a hack in a couple of weeks only with a smaller circle of users. I.e. only MF-Club members.
This would be a nice "Club-members-only" feature. But we have to be aware in case that e-mail traffic causes again troubles, that we have to delete this code-hack again.
But first we need to get the bugs out of this hack, befare we can test it on a life site
