In a few month I will be travelling to a country where the use of cameras is significantly restricted. I plan to store my camera for about 6 months at a time, before I can use it again. My question is what happens to the internal battery? Does the camera need to go to service or would the grip battery charge the internal battery?
I would be grateful for some advise.

Hi

You have to remove the battery grip from the body and charged full before stored in dry box.

Also you can remove the back and viewfinder from the body and cover with their protective cap.

Stored in the dry box to keep the humidity normal.
