H3D2-39 problem with CF Adapter

I have recently bought a H3D2-39 and a CF lens adapter to fit my CF + CFE lenses.

However I am bit confused since it seems that I am only able to use my old CF(E) lenses wide open e.g aperture 4.0

Camera recognizes all my CF lenses and I save the focal length in the camera, but still I am not able to shift aperture

I have also HCD 28mm and a standard HC 80 mm

It cannot be this - I mean if you only can use CF lenses wideopen - there must be a way to use a e.g CFE 120 macro at F:16

Please let me know how ?

Hi Claus,

You've set the appropriate focal lenght in the H cameras menu and have saved it. The CF lens will remain at maximum aperture in order to facilitate focusing and when you fire the camera the aperture will stopped down to the aperture selected on the lens.

You can reference the aperture & shutter speed values on the H grip LCD display as the camera is metering through the lens and then manually transfer that data to the aperture and shutter speed rings on the lens. I hope this makes sense.
