Some snapshots with the 1000F and the Tessar 80mm. For the curious, the castle is kasteel Beverweert, in Werkhoven (near Utrecht) in the Netherlands. It is in the process of being restored. Portra 400NC, not the most obvious film for the sunny conditions, but he...

It remains fascinating to use such an old camera. Rick kindly supplied me with it's birth certificate. HB Gothenburg shipped it to the Swedish distributor on March 31, 1955. Sometime during its life it got mated with another lens, the serial number of the Tessar it now sports is not the same with which it left the factory. Interestingly enough it also left Gothenburg without a film cassette.

Nothing wrong with those images.
In fact they are very good, congratulations.

The modest Tessar did a good job here.
Once again I am impressed what later films can do for older cameras.
Try to imagine what a 25 ISO film from the 1000F days would have meant for these kind of images.

Any B/W in the pipeline?

Use velvia 50 asa film in your 1000F on a tripod with the lens closed at 5.6 or 8.0, then you will ask why you spent time with digital apn.
Anyway be carfull about flare with the sun.

I have not shot any B/W yet with it. Would be nice to take some Efke 25 or Efke 50 along with a tripod..

One of the first obvious improvement points would be obtaining a proper hood for the little Tessar.
