I made the leap from the Hd3-II 39 to the 50 enroute to the HD4-60. Here is first light on the camera. Marshall Point Light, Maine, USA

Congratulations - the 50 still stuns me every time I shoot with it. The resolution has also added a whole new creative dimension to my work - 'pictures within pictures' amongst other things.

don't take my fun away

I just got the H3DII-31... please do not show me pictures from the 39 or 50 or the future 60... I want to be happy with my low rez version.... :)

I've only got a Phase one P20 but I'm still overjoyed with it and the quality. Sure a 60 would be nice but I'm stoked to have a medium format digital at all.

22 MP and more...

hi,

iam working with the 22mp h3dII and i love it.
one do not have to work with a 60mp camera to make amazing photographs...

i hope the resolution will come to a final-level in the next years. so the manufacturers can concentrate on improving image quality and camera systems.

have a nice day to everyone,

helmut

Hi,

Yes, i have H3DII-39 and i really dream about 50 or 60mp, so people who are upgrading to 50 or 60 showing us like we are using old or low resolutions cameras, i am happy with 39mp but if some here and many on LL forum selling their 39mp or 22-31mps then what we can say if we can't afford 50mp and larger? and really i hate Hasselblad to have offer from 50mp to 60mp, why not from 39mp to 50mp? I am ready to pay the difference between 39mp and 50mp but i can't go to sell my 39mp to afford 50mp until i can get same price i bought my 39mp first place.

Anyway, good luck to all who upgraded to 50 or 60mp and larger in the future, enjoy!

hi,

when i bought my H3DII-22mp i was told that there is a chance to upgrade to the 39mp version.
i thought my 22mp camera is the entry level version.
so i could use it as a start set.

but last year they stopped the upgrade possibility.
that was because of the new low-price of the 31 and 39mp version.

so all we can do is to buy a brand new camera and sell the old one on the second hand marked...

a upgrade chance is very nice. it makes you feel comfortable...

in my opinion to stop the upgrade, was not so fine.
it is always good to make a customer feel safe...

let's hope the hasselblad team will give us a second chance to upgrade somehow...

;)

Do you mean the newer backs won't fit onto the older cameras? Can someone please clarify?

As far as I know it is still possible to buy a CF39MP back suitable for H series cameras.
Why not contact HB Ahrensburg or your local dealer to find out?

CF or CFV backs are for H1/H2 series only, H3D/H4D are closed integrated digital back system from Hasselblad, once you take that digital back from H3D and insert another Hasselbld back like CF then it is not called H3D, even CF/CFV not compatible with H3D or H4D, really i don't know why people don't know about cameras parts or accessories that are compatible or not, many think that H2 is H3D, maybe there are H2D cameras but i think wth CF or CFV backs, but H3D has its own digital back, i even can't remove that digital back from my H3DII.

Hi Pro,

I just wanted to clarify a couple of items. CF digital backs can fit a variety of camera systems through the use of of i-adapters. The CFV is specific to the V system which includes the 200, 500, 900, Flex and Arc bodies.

The HxD, such as H3DII are integrated where each digital magazine is calibrated to a specific body to insure optimum performance.
The digital magazines on the H3D, H3DII can be removed for cleaning of the protective glass. There is a dual lock, the first in the traditional location on the left side of the body and the second located under the viewfinder, yes the viewfinder must be removed in order to access the secondary locking mechanism.
