Firmware upgrade for CFV-16

I attended a Hasselblad seminar today and was informed that the CFV-39 firmware (R256.CIM )was suitable for the CFV-16 and would significantly improve 400 ISO performance.

The Hass team was surprised that the back didn't update with 800 ISO and that will be further investigated. I look forward to the answer for that.

Whilst I've not shot anything yet with the new installed firmware I look forward to 200 ISO quality at 400 ISO.

Download is now available on Hass site.

Was anyone aware of this, 'cos it passed me by ?
 
Firmware r256

My CFV-16 is on firmware R256 but only shows ISO 50 , 100 , 200 and 400 .

Which download is now available at the HASSELBLAD site ?

My PHOCUS is 1.2.1 and firmware is R256 for CFV-16 and CFV-39 .
Did I miss something here ? ? ?

I can't see any noticeble difference when using ISO 400 between the two firmware versions. One thing the newer firmware seems to do is to create an afterimage effect when switching menus, the previous menu is slightly visible as an overlay after switching, then it fades away.

Haven't used mine yet as busy with other things.

Hass rep said that the new 400 was as good as the old 200 iso. Also he expected the update to bring 800 iso in, and was surprised it didn't. He is off to check and confirm.

He picked up my update from the Hass UK site downloads.
