Film back detaches with slide open

Hello, new here & new to the H system. V user for 15 years film & digital then went Contax 645 film. Just got a very nice H1 with film back and it detaches from the body while the dark slide is open. Any ideas whether this is a mag or body issue and what the likely cause is?
