Eratic start of my CFV-39

Well, I got my CFV-39 2.5 years ago.
Since the begining, I may have difficulties to start it as the sony battery connections are not perfect. Most of time I just move the battery and it's ok. But I may wast time for this.
If I just toutch the battery during shoooting it may stop the the CFV. Just like fleas when you try to sleep on hollydays close to the pool.It happened I need 1 minute to succed starting the cfv and yes, it may drive me crasy.

As I do not trust official manufacurer rapair job maid aboard, I wonder if one here did the job on the cfv or Sony compatible batery holder and has advise about it.
BTW, the place where Hasselblad put the battery is so stupid that they never show the CFV with the battery on advertising.
The battery is so exposed that I wunder if I will not make a protection stuff under the body.

Instead Hasselblad always claims that the back is ascetically in line with the V-series. Indeed when you take the battery off.

I had the same problem with my CFV16. I was up at Hasselblad service in London and mentioned it to them. One of the technicians looked at it and agreed that there was a problem, then he very gently adjusted the contacts on the CFV so that they were a little "fatter", he did this in front of me with a small screwdriver. Since then I have had no problems. So it would seem that it is a simple adjustment. I would do it myself if it happened again, you just need to be very careful and gentle.

That is exactly what I did to my CFV-16 about three years ago .
As Pete says , very very gentle , widen the contacts , best with a little watchmakers screw driver . But . . . don't widen the contact too much .
I experienced no more power loss since that time .

HHuh, that's so simple !!?

I will try. I have to say that this bug avoid me to take the cfv outside. I may spend one minute to take the simple picture. So poeple thinks that I do not know how to take pictures....and pass by.

From your posts in the past , I have learned , that you are capable of doing fine mechanic works .
In the above described case it is really simple .
All I can say , don't widen the contacts too much . Better give them two or three very little tries . Good luck .

Well I did it and it worked fine ...few weeks, and then the problem come back. I compared with other sony batteries users and I have to say that the Haselblad conector are the poorrest conectors ever seen. Hard to believe that Hasselblad succed to spare 0.5 euro for this conector and drive me creazy.

Now I found metalic springs I put inside the batterie conectors and it works far better. But time to time, I need 5 minutes to fit batterie after I load them if a spring fall down. For the springs I extract them from a SCA300 Metz flash module I do not use anymore. BTW no more problem with hours and day setting.
