For all owners of a CFV, where there isn´t a functionality in the menu of the digi back (like for H-systems) I´ve found out a way to reset or set the counter for the raw-files.
These Numbers increase at each shot by one.
(The method is based on an information, I got from Douglas Fairbanks and was adapted for CFV-Backs)
I did it yesterday, as my CFV-back from inspection at Hasselblad Sweden (change of the battery for remembering settings and date/time) had a count of about A8xxxxxx.3fr.

These Numbers increase at each shot by one.
(The method is based on an information, I got from Douglas Fairbanks and was adapted for CFV-Backs)
- Take an empty CF-card, put it into the CFV-Back
- format it
- Make one shot
- Take the CF-card out and connect it to an PC/MAC
- Edit the name of the raw-file to A9999999.3FR
- Insert the card into the CFV-Back and shoot a picture.
- The new raw file will be named A0000000.3FR - if there isn´t any file on this device with a higher counter! - That was the reason for proposing an format in step 2
- If you want to set the counter to an specified number: make the following steps
- Take the CF-card out and connect it to an PC/MAC
- Edit the name of the last raw-file to A<number_minus_one>.3FR and ensure, that there isn´t a raw file with a higher number on the medium.
- Insert the card into the CFV-Back and shoot a picture.
- The new raw file should have the file-name: A<number>.3FR
I did it yesterday, as my CFV-back from inspection at Hasselblad Sweden (change of the battery for remembering settings and date/time) had a count of about A8xxxxxx.3fr.
