Yes, I use C lenses with CFV as well. However, as there is no "F" setting in the between-lenses-shutter ring, you have to setup camera type as "flash sync" in CFV and connect a sync cord from C lenses PC socket to CFV.

No need for sync cables when using C, CF, CFe or CFi lenses on 500 series cameras with the CFV. Only if you use the C lenses on focal plane (200 or 2000 series) bodies in which case you can only shoot using the leaf shutter and will require flash sync cord to the back. The CFV uses the trigger arm for the film back to fire the CFV. An exception to this rule is with the older SWC which may require a little tweeking to get the timing correct and or use of flash sync cable.
