Accepted replacement battery and charger for 500 ELM

Hello to all. I'm new here and new to Hasselblad.
I look forward to learning quite a bit, so please, accept my thanks and good wishes to everyone here on this forum!

The batteries in my 500 ELM are original and getting old
I wanted to know what the official suggested replacement battery and charging unit might be?

I know there is the "Fotodiox Battery Adapter for Hasselblad for 500EL/500ELM/500ELX/553ELX to Use 6v CR-P2 Battery",
Is this accepted by Hasselblad?

I would very much appreciate input.

The most economical and universal way to power EL/M/X cameras using the 6 Volt battery is to covert to 9V block battery.

Cheapest conversion is to have a battery connector fitted to the body:
A 15 minute job with less than 1 euro for the connector.
A nicely constructed adapter for the same battery can be found for less money than a new battery costs at auction sites.

The advantage of the block battery: available almost everywhere i.e. fillingstations, electronic stores etc.
Any of the typical photo batteries cost more and are less easy to find.

Do not worry about the 9V of the block battery.
That solution has proved itself and does not in any way harm the camera.
