503CW camera bag recommendations.

I'm currently working from a Lowe Pro Magnum bag and I find it to be too bulky for the 503cw with lens/winder, prism and P25+ back. Also I carry two other lenses and some filters and shades.

It fits in the bag ok for transportation but is a nuisance to work from. My thoughts or desires would be for a well constructed shoulder bag with two levels: The bottom for lens storage and a top level that can be accessed from above with the camera at the ready. Pointing the camera down in the bag is ok for 35mm style cameras but not for MF in my opinion. I'd like to be able to lift a flap and haul out the camera by the grip. Sometimes I store the camera on its side with the grip up.

After a lot of searching, I've found nothing for MF. The companies usually switch to a back pack for MF and those look silly to work from. I've worked this way since the mid '70's with the Hassey but I'm getting older and the bag is a struggle.

What are your suggestions or what do you use -- anybody?

Seconded on the Billingham. I currently use a 501CM, 50mm CFI, 100mm CFI, and 180mm CFI along with a Polaroid back, meters, film, chimney finder, filters, and misc. accessories. The bag is a comfort to wear on the hip and easy to work with on the run (so to speak, for MF). Unobtrusive in all black.
Cheers,
Mike
