205tcc A12 Back Problem

Hi all.
Just need to check something with those in the know...
My friend has a 205tcc and matching back and the back suddenly won't stop after winding it onto "1" position. It keeps winding... Is the back able to be used as normal if she just winds on and stops at the 1 position then shoots? I was always under the impression both back and body need to be in perfec sync, or at least that there was a mechanical link that stopped the body firing if the back wasn't properly set. Any info or advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

No first stop of A12 after loading

The stop after loading is done by a small mechanical device that also prevents manual transport of the fim becoming to far
Careful loading while observing the numbers in the frame counter will make further use of the back possible.
One exception: you stand the risk of losing frame 12 because the film was shifted too far when loading.

It is not a major job to have this problem cured provided the back does not need more attention of course.

There is a clean virtually unused E12 back for sale in the Classified section!
