I believe the C lenses have no "F" setting as the CF lenses and has to use thru-lens shutter only on 205TCC body. For metering, as there is no electric contact like CFE or FE lenses, C lenses has to stop down before metering.

1. As the C lens has no "F" setting, the c lens shutter will fire together with the focal plane shutter of the body without synchronisation. As such, it may not able to make exposure or with correct exposure. Using the shutter of C lens is the only way to make sure correct exposure is made with the 205TCC body.
2. As C lens do not have electric contact to pass the maximum aperture information to 205TCC body. Therefore, metering measurement has to be made with aperture stopped down to the working aperture. I.e. cannot meter with full aperture unless it is used for exposure.
