Good evening!!
I am a longtime Hasselblad enthusiast and a proud owner of a 1969 500C that still looks and works like the day it came out of the box.
I was interested in locating a true, period-correct remote shutter release - either cable, pneumatic bulb, or both, - especially if Hasselblad directly made such an accessory. I've spent a good long while scouring textbooks (Wildi), websites (HasselbladHistorical and numerous others, including eBay), but haven't made any headway in actually identifying [1] whether Hasselblad actually manufactured Hasselblad-branded remote release cables in 1969 and [2] how I can identify an authentic period-correct article.
I realize that a modern/present day release may give me better results, but one of the many many things I enjoy about the Hasselblad system is shooting with authentic, legacy equipment (and getting results that beat 99% of the modern camera equipment in the world.)
Thanks in advance for any insight, education, or leads anyone can offer me!
cheers,
Mark
