Documentary project Orthodox Cemetery in WarsawPoland

bebop

New Member
hi everyone.

I've started documentary project on Orthodox Cemetery in Warsaw/Poland. I came across this place with several cameras from digital Canon to Mamiya 67 and I've finally returned with Hasselblad. Most of shoots were taken with CF80/150 lens, but more to come with something wide like 50mm lens I own. first six shoots were taken this autumn on Kodak Proimage 100.

the cemetary is rather dark as it's surrounded with heavy and high trees, so I decided to went in some parts of photos with cross and oversaturated techniques. the classic bw images (probably on Ilford Delta which one is my favourite bw) also will be taken.

actually there is a perfect time for bw images as we have winter time... and no snow

at all. something strange with weather anyway.

the project is located here: http://www.marcinrusinowski.com/projects/orthodox_cemetery

will probably change its page to something more bloggish as I want to put also info not pictures.

any critique is more than welcome.

best regards

Martin

I VISITED THE JEWISH CEMETERY IN KRAKOW LAST SUMMER AND THE JEWISH CEMETERY AT BABA YAIR IN KIEV THIS AUGUST. TOOK LOTS OF PICTURES- MY DIGITAL PICS FROM KIEV WERE LOST DUE TO A BAD MEMORY CARD-XD TYPE- RECOVERY WAS IMPOSSIBLE EVEN AT THE OLYMPUS FACTORY--THE PICS I TOOK AT KRAKOW WERE FILM AND GREAT-ALL VELVIA- I JUST SOLD A 503CXI, A CONTAX G-2 , CONTAX AX AND AN ARIA-AND LOTS OF GREAT ZEISS LENSES-

DONT ASK ME WHY-ONE REASON WAS THAT CONTAX FOLDED BUT IT WAS A LARGE MISTAKE SINCE NOW I AM LEFT WITH 3 NIKON BODIES(F-2,F-3) AND SOME LENSES THAT DO NOT COMPARE WITH THE ZEISS GLASS!

Larry, the Jewish Cemetery in Krakow is one of the biggest in Poland I think and one of the beautiful cemeteries I've visited. unfortunately I have only digital pictures from it.
